This is a map of western Connecticut and adjacent portions of New York and Massachusetts. Stars indicate the location of various members of the Northrop/Northrup family. My ancestor, Amos Northrop's birth location is shown by the light blue block toward the upper left portion of the map.

The red portion to the left indicates the approximate border of the historic Dutchess county mentioned in many records. It was much larger than the curent Dutchess county.
